Gratitude Grows in Conversations Like These

This Thanksgiving week, we’re reminded of the power of connection and conversation.

I’m reflecting on when i had the privilege of meeting with a couple to discuss their funeral pre-planning. Their adult daughters were in town & joined the conversation, and as i asked questions & decisions were made, the kids chimed in often with comments like, “I wouldn’t have known that!” or “Really, Mom?”

It was a meaningful conversation peppered with both tears and laughter. At the end, one daughter shared something that stayed with me: We’re so grateful they invited us to be part of this meeting. We learned so much and feel like we would know what to do.

Conversations like this remind us why it’s so important to bring loved ones together, to share openly, and to plan thoughtfully. 💛
